Lead Leak from Clay Pot

Read a news about lead leaking from clay pot, made in China. It is true that I have heard stories about lead poisoning in China, have wondered where the lead came from. So this is one of the sources. But this news should not mislead the public to the believing that everything made in Japan is safe. Food poisoning by Yuki Jirushi's milk is a good example. There has been a lot of reports about Endocrine Disruptor (ED), and numerous EDs have been identified. Yet, how many researched has been done as which material can not be used for products that we eat, touch? And how many checks has been done to make sure that none of the existing products contain any ED?
