Here they are at last! DELL and Lenovo have announced the first generation of wireless USB laptop computers.
I have been enjoying the benefits of USB devices for many years. Especially since many USB devices are support by default drivers, one doest not have to be worried about the hassles of "installation". Even for those that do need special drivers, mostof the companies put their drivers in their homepage for easy download. Installation of the drivers normally does not require more than 5 clicks. Therefore, I don't need to be bothered with management of the CD-ROMs that comes with each device.
But the only problem I have with USB devices is the wires, and sometimes power supply for those that draw power from the host computer. Not only do the wires make portable laptops less mobile, they also anoys the user from time to time. Wires either get tangled with each other, or entangle other objects around. USB dangles either get damaged easily, or are in the way of objects around the computer.
The concerns though, are the continously increasing radio waves flying around us.
